Sharing His Talents
One of Randall's favorite gigs is Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. Each month he volunteers his time playing for patients and their families. "Texas Children's Hospital is a one-of-a-kind health facility with cool kids' stuff and color everywhere. And to see severely ill children and their distressed parents connect with my music is extremely rewarding," says Randall.

RANDALL RELEASES DON'T GIVE UP ALBUM
In March 2010, Randall's new album, Don't Give Up, hit the market. For anyone who hasn't heard him before, this album is the perfect starting place. You'll hear a classically trained voice transition to crooner and rapper with ease.
Randall has brought back Once and One Way to Paradise from his Love Singles album, plus The Light: Reprise to Haiti (The Light of the Sun on his Mirage album.) "This song was written for the Malaysian orphans following the devastating tsunami. It seemed fitting to dedicate the sentiment and lyrics to the orphans in Haiti as well, following the tragic earthquake in 2009," states Randall.
No holds are barred from the opener, Take Me Into Orbit. Hot jazz licks on ivories and sax blend with Randall's smooth tone and rap...a perfect combination to get the blood pumping.
With Kako Se Zove, Randall surprisingly shakes things up with Croation salsa...this has been an entry at the (believe it or not) Croatian salsa festival. By the way, Kako Se Zove means "What's her name?" in Croatian.
The opening measures of Don't Give Up will tell you this is something funky. "It was a trip to add the brass lines that don't let go of blue notes. My father loved the big bands of the 30s and 40s and he would have loved this piece, I think."
Just when you thought Randall had settled into a jazz mode, he adds Midnight at the Equator. He explains, "The cello in the beginning suggests this is a Bohemian rock piece. What happens in the song could take place in the wee hours near closing in the Equator, a fictitious nightclub."
Randall looks forward to hearing how fans react to Don't Give Up. No one song will make everyone's Top 10 list. But the album definitely will have listeners taking notice of Randall's versatility. Don't Give Up is available at www.cdbaby.com
